Mid-week Motivation: Waking up early!



Last week I discussed why be an early bird might not be so bad! This week I promised to share some tips on waking up early.

1. Just say "no" to the snooze button! The snooze button is not your friend! Put your phone or your alarm across the room. This way you have to get up to hit that little button. Besides, if you're already up then why not stay up?!


2. Open the curtains! A pitch black room makes it much too easy to stay asleep. Let the sun in and get a bright start to your day!


3. Wake up at the same time everyday but go to bed when your tired. Just listen to your body.


4. Have a purpose in the morning. For example, don't shower at night. Instead, shower in the morning. This way you know there is something that you HAVE to do. If you know you can roll out of bed and head to work or school then that's exactly what you will do...at the very last minute.

These are just a few things that I have been trying. What are your tricks for waking up early?
